Atlanta State Park
Atlanta State Park is 1457 acres on Lake Wright Patman. It is located in Cass County near Atlanta, Texas. Atlanta State Park is one of the prettiest State Parks that we have visited. It's nestled in tall pine trees and has a beautiful view of Lake Wright Patman. A small swimming area on a sandy beach invites you to take a swim. If you like hiking there is a hiking trail about five miles long. Also available are volleyball courts, basketball courts and horseshoe pits. There is a group picnic pavilion with tables (both under cover and uncovered), with grill, electricity, and water.
Both pull through and back-in campsites are available. Better come early because the spots are limited. Make reservations and try this park. I think you will be glad that you did.
Nearby attractions include Caddo Lake, Jefferson and Atlanta. Atlanta has plenty of antique, collectible, craft, and gift shops to visit.
